As the founder of the company and the lead for all recruiting activities, my experience encompasses 28 years of global level experience. This experience includes (Corporate, Contract, Military and Agency recruiting activities). I have worked directly as an employee, 

(recruiter and recruiting leader), for many years and also as an on-site contractor in the industries I recruit for. ATRA Pacific's credentials are superior because of the experience obtained working directly with industry as described, I know that type of business, why those roles are important, and I know the process companies want to follow.

ATRA Pacific does not charge any fees from candidates, employers pay us to find top talent.  Our fees are modest, and in most circumstances, hiring a person through our recruitment process cost far less than when companies handle the advertising, screening and do the hiring themselves.

Underground Mine Engineer II & Senior Levels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1- 5 years of underground Mining Engineering experience ( 3 plus years are preferred) for a level II
  • A minimum of 5+ years of underground Mining Engineering experience (7+ plus years are preferred) for a Senior Level

Open Pit Mine Engineer II and Senior Level

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field or equivalent experience are required
  • 3 years' for a level II, and 7+ years’  of experience in open pit engineering for a Level III

Senior Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in power systems engineering, preferably in an industrial or utility setting required
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NESC, IEEE, NETA) required
  • Experience with managing external contractors and consultants required

Mine Planning Engineer - Surface Automation

Qualifications:

  • Accredited post-secondary education (a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Mining or related field) will be considered as experience, amount depending on nature and extent.
  • Two (2) years practical experience in technical services department within the mining environment 
  • Experienced in mine planing, and with operational scenarios to support Autonomous Haulage implementation at Open Pit operations.
  • Familiarity with design and visualization software, scheduling software, and other commonly used mining software 

Capital Projects Superintendent and Senior Engineer Level

Qualifications:

Superintendent level:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering or a related field
  • Project Management Professional certificate or Professional Engineer licensure preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in progressive project management, engineering design, and construction management preferred.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques 


Senior Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering or a related field
  • Project planning/management experience 
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, and Maintainability) and OR (Operational Readiness) principles preferred
  • Contract management experience preferred

Senior Capital Projects Engineer - Rail

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related field 
  • 8 or more years of project planning and project management experience with demonstrated competency in project execution, project management, construction, commissioning, and handover is preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience within rail engineering, rail construction, or rail operations and maintenance on projects of similar size and complexity is highly preferred

Senior Reliability Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experience in a reliability role
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a reliability role in an industrial environment
  • Two (2) years practical experience in Operations, preferably in a mobile maintenance mining environment preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of reliability and improvement concepts: RCA, FMEA, RCM, LEAN  preferred
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Condition Monitoring techniques such as: oil and vibration analysis, thermography and/or ultrasonic emissions
  • Have experience in the facilitation on root cause failure analysis (RCA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) with maintenance and operations personnel

Senior Hydrogeologist & Hydrogeologist II

Qualifications:

Senior Level:

  • A bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil engineering (or similar)
  • 7+ years of experience in the mining industry 
  • Familiarity with water well systems, hydraulic flow, and well field balancing
  • Knowledge of advanced principles and practices employed in hydrogeology and hydrology 
  • Familiarity with hydrogeologic modeling techniques
  • Experience formulating hydrogeologic models

Level II

  • A Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil engineering (or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience in the mining industry
  • Familiarity with drill rigs and installation of hydrogeology instrumentation 
  • Experience in LeapFrog, Deswik, Vulcan, GIS or other related software

Senior Underground Geotechnical Engineer & Geotechnical Engineer II

Qualifications:

Senior Level: 

  • B.S. Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or Geology 
  • Geotechnical Experience: Underground 5+ Years, Geotechnical Design Work 
  • Experience with rock mass classification systems, geotechnical analysis, structural mapping, ground support designs and underground mining QA/QC programs 
  • Familiarization with various geotechnical software packages  
  • Flexibility in work hours for on-call and call-outs, as needed 

Level II: 

  • B.S. Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or Geology.
  • Geotechnical Experience: Underground 3-5 Years, Geotechnical Design Work
  • Experience with rock mass classification systems, geotechnical analysis, structural mapping, ground support designs and underground mining QA/QC programs.

Principal Advisor & Senior Level Tailings & Water

Qualifications:

Principal Advisor Level:

  • Bachelor degree or higher education in engineering, geotechnical, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of ten years as a professional guiding and influencing practice in facilities/maintenance planning areas
  • Minimum of 10 years in tailings construction, RTFE, regulatory role, or design.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and in small multi-discipline teams, demonstrated leadership skills, and be self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills required
  • Intermediate to Proficient computer skills, spreadsheets (Microsoft Office, CAD 3D,Microsoft Outlook)
  • Bachelor degree or higher education in engineering, geotechnical, or related field of study.

Senior Level: 

           • At least five years of experience working in the field of tailings or a related engineering field

           • Knowledge of TSF design, construction, operation, maintenance, and surveillance.

           • Knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability analysis and general geotechnical and civil   

             engineering principles.

           • Knowledge of monitoring and survey equipment, procedures, and principles
